A coordination meeting was held within the scope of the "Sectoral Salt and Salt-Based Strategic Products" specialisation project at Çankırı Karatekin University, which has the distinction of being the world`s first Specialized University in the field of salt.The meeting was held with the participation of coordination members under the chairmanship of our Rector Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi.
The aim of the meeting was to establish a road map for the current projects, budgets and future processes, with the intention of facilitating the exchange of ideas.Rector Çiftçi highlighted the university`s unique position as the first and only institution specialising in salt, emphasising his belief that it will make a significant contribution to this process as ÇAKÜ. He went on to mention that a budget has been allocated for specialisation in the field of salt and that they have partially started some projects, adding that they have more than 30 projects in total.He continued, "It is an important indicator that a project has the potential to produce a new project.We believe that many new projects will be born from our specialised projects.We are confident that these projects will contribute to society, lead to new knowledge and turn into value-added products." The projects, it was explained, were prepared over a period of about a year and a half, after which presentations were made and it was decided to support the proposed projects within the scope of specialisation, in line with the opinions of the Presidency Strategy and Budget Presidency, the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Higher Education Council Strategy Development Presidency.
